How to participate

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with food, drinks, and of course, dancing! We cannot think of a better way to kick off the dance party (and our marriage) than with a fundraiser supporting our shared values.

We have decided to donate the proceeds of our first dance fundraiser to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization promoting social justice in the American South and beyond.

Want to get in on the action? Submit a song for a chance to have it played during our first dance as husband and wife. Each vote is $1 and the song with the most votes will be chosen as our first dance song.

1. Visit our campaign page to donate.

2. Enter your donation amount. Each dollar counts as one vote for your song.

3. In the ‘Write an encouraging message for Mark & Mollie’ field, enter the song title and artist. (We’ll take encouragement too, but be sure to enter a song for your vote to count).

We are so happy to be able to use the celebration of our love as an opportunity to fight hate. Thank you for supporting our efforts to promote a multiracial, inclusive democracy where everyone can thrive. We hope you have as much fun voting for our first dance song as we have dancing to it!

About SPLC

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people.

The SPLC is a tax-exempt, charitable organization incorporated in 1971 under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is the premier organization monitoring and exposing hate groups and other extremists in the United States.

In this critical moment for our democracy, the SPLC prioritizes several key issue areas: Hate & Extremism, Children’s Rights, Immigrant Justice, LGBTQ Rights, Economic Justice, Criminal Justice Reform, and Voting Rights. We encourage you to read more about the SPLC’s work to address these issues on its website.
